Yakima County Crime Stoppers says WMW viewer tips called in on repeat WMW fugitive, Margarito ‘Lunatic’ Rivera, led the Violent Crimes Task Force in Yakima right to him.

WMW viewers helped catch Rivera the first time he was featured on the show earlier this year.

Cops in Eastern Washington say repeat WMW fugitive, Margarito ‘Lunatic’ Rivera, just isn’t getting it.

He’s banned from being in Yakima County, and WMW viewer tips helped catch him there earlier this year — but Department of Corrections officers say he’s back in the area — breaking probation — and needs to be caught and brought back to Spokane County.

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound says a tipster texted their program in Seattle Wednesday morning, with Margarito “Lunatic” Rivera’s address in Yakima.  The tipster said Rivera was at the address at that time, so Crime Stoppers called Yakima dispatch.  Yakima police and the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force surrounded the house in the 900 block of South 11th Ave.

Rivera surrendered peacefully. He was arrested for his DOC warrant and for probable cause on a theft charge.

Rivera was featured on Washington’s Most Wanted on Feb. 22nd on Q13 FOX in Seattle and on Feb. 23rd on the FOX stations in Yakima and Spokane.

He was convicted of Domestic Violence and ordered not to be in Yakima County where the victim lives.  He was supposed to be living and checking in with officers in Spokane County.

He is the 385th fugitive caught since Washington’s Most Wanted started in 2008.

Here’s a fugitive case you don’t see too often — a domestic violence offender who’s terrorized a woman so much — he’s banned from living in the same county she does.

She stays in Yakima County, and officers worry that’s where missing, high-violent offender, Margarito Rivera, Jr., is hiding right now.

He’s supposed to be living and checking-in with cops in Spokane County.

He’s a dangerous, violent gang member who officers consider a serious risk. Officers say Rivera knows they’re after him, but will not surrender.
