SEATTLE — Seattle Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy underwent surgery Thursday to repair a tear in his Achilles tendon he suffered last week during organized team activities, USA Today reported.

McCoy is expected to miss at least six months of the season.

According to the report, the team has not yet confirmed the injury. McCoy caught 18 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season last year.

The Seahawks drafted tight end Luke Wilson in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft and he is expected to take a bigger role with the team because of McCoy’s injury, USA Today reported.

So we make all the right moves to get the best team we can have and then they suffer injuries and suspensions. I'm starting to wonder that even if we had the best players in the league at every position the Seattle curse would make sure it still wouldn't bring home a championship.
