520 bridge tolls increase July 1
SEATTLE-- Expect to pay more this summer to cross the 520 bridge.
On Wednesday, the Washington state Transportation Commission voted unanimously to approve a 2.5 percent rate hike, effective July 1.
Under the new rates, drivers with the electronic Good to Go pass will pay a peak rate of $3.70. If you pay by mail, it will cost $5.25.
WSDOT says the toll is on track to provide more than $1 billion in funding for the new six-lane replacement bridge which is set to open in 2016.
