Eye opener: Seattle Public Schools releasing findings on student risky behaviors

Seattle-- Seattle Public Schools will release the findings from a 2012 statewide Healthy Youth Survey and the federal Youth Risk Behavior Survey Tuesday.

District officials said high school and middle school students took the surveys anonymously last fall. The questions cover personal safety and violence, mental health, tobacco use, drug and alcohol use, sexual behavior and nutrition.

District officials will reveal the results at 11:15 a.m. at the John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence.
