Injured author talks about perseverance on the basketball court

SEATTLE - It's an incredible story of tragedy, triumph and perseverance.

Sonya Elliot was just days away from her wedding in 1991 when she was in a train accident that killed her fiance and left her critically injured.

Elliot is now a married mother of two, author, model and recently received the honor of "Metro Coach of the Year" for her work as the Coach of the West Seattle girls basketball team.

Elliot  talked about her new book, "Back on the Court," on Wednesday.
