Cuteness alert: Kali, baby tiger cub, feeds at Tacoma Zoo

TACOMA -- Rare Sumatran tiger cubs can get a little hungry.

Video from the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium shows Kali, a tiger cub born three weeks ago, feeding on a bottle.

The video was released in anticipation of the Kali's public debut at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The cub was born April 17 to Jaya and Malosi, two resident tigers at the zoo. She was the third tiger cub born in North America this year.

Kali's birth is part of a world-wide effort to repopulate the endangered species. Currently, there are only about 300 tigers left in their native habitats, and around 75 captive in North American zoos.
