duiBREMERTON — A Silverdale man was arrested for driving under the influence twice in 24 hours, the Kitsap Sun reported Thursday.

Citing court documents, the Sun said the driver is alleged to have nearly struck multiple drivers April 5 in rural Central Kitsap. He was arrested and treated at Harrison Medical Center because his blood-alcohol level was too high for jail. After leaving the hospital, he caused two crashes April 6 in Bremerton, the documents said.

Joseph Edward Yedinak, 54, of Silverdale, was being held in the Kitsap County Jail on $150,000 bail. Kitsap County prosecutors have charged him with DUI, and Bremerton city prosecutors have charged him with DUI and reckless driving.

Time to toughen up on DUI offenders in this state. I don't think none of us taxpayers would mind paying for that bill if it keeps jerks like this off the streets

What part of 'JAIL' do the authorities not understand???? Why wasn't he locked up after the FIRST DUI?? This is a perfect example of the stupidity of our 'justice' system. Give him a slap on the wrist and put him back on the roads to possibly kill some innocent person. Plus why wasn't his car impounded for AT LEAST 24 hours???

What would be wrong with having a zero tolerance for driving under the influence??? .0 Limit….. Maybe then people would just know they can not drive at all If they have been drinking. It would take all of the questions out of the equation. Too many innocent people are getting killed on the road.

And you scary berries thought assault weapons kill people, sheesh guys like this kill way more people than assault rifles, in fact alcohol is second to only our government when it comes to killing people. Think about that real hard before you keep voting for gun control
