Polar Plunge 2013 -- King County cops VS Pierce County cops raises $195,000

polar plunge webLaw enforcement from all over the state support Special Olympics Washington, and now, ‘Polar Plunge’ season is upon us. Polar plunge 2013 – ‘Freezin' for a Reason’ -- it was King County law enforcement VS. Pierce County cops in a contest to see who could raise the most money for Special Olympics Washington. King County came out on top with $125,000 dollars raised, but Pierce County had a tremendous showing in their first year of holding a Polar Plunge, raising $70,000 for the athletes. Seattle's 'Plunge'  took place on Feb. 9th, Tacoma's on the 23rd. Checkout the video below to see everyone 'Freezing for a Reason' at South Lake Union and Owen Beach!
