Can I have cop lights on my car?

Q: Can I have police lights on my car, even though I'm not a cop? -- Tre'von in Seattle A: "Tre'von, thanks for the question. You cannot have those lights on your vehicle. It's the law that blue lights can only be on law enforcement vehicles. It is prohibited to have them on your personal car. In addition, red lights can only be on authorized emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, certain tow trucks, law enforcement vehicles, and occasionally on a private bus. But please, do not have red or blue lights on your car. It's against the law, and likely you could be arrested and/or have your vehicle towed." -- King County Sgt. Cindi West
