A fugitive from the Tri-Cities area is accused of killing a man in his sleep — and cops say — he had his kids with him for the killing.

Police in Connell say it was a violent crime of passion when Julio Hernandez brought his kids to his ex-wife’s house last week and shot her new lover while he slept. His ex wasn’t home when he pulled the trigger, but their kids were.

Investigators say Hernandez then drove to Othello, left his car at a buddy’s place, and his kids with relatives.

Here are the details on JULIO CESAR HERNANDEZ:

  • Fake name/mixture of: “Juan Carlos Lopez Cortes”
  • Age: 40
  • Ht: 5’9”
  • Wt: 160 lbs

Cops think he could still be hiding in the Tri-City area, but also has ties to the small northern California town of Corning.
