Police: Student arrested for falsely reporting seeing man with gun on campus

ISSAQUAH -- An 18-year-old Issaquah High School student was arrested Wednesday for falsely reporting that he had seen a man with a gun in the parking lot of the school, a report that led to the school’s lockdown, the Issaquah Police Department said.

“Upon further questioning of the student, he admitted to making up the report,” the police said. “All schools resumed normal activities. The student, a Sammamish resident, was arrested for false reporting and booked at the Issaquah Police Department.”

No other details were released.
