Stormy Weather on tap with two storms heading in

We enter a wet and windy period through Tuesday. Lots of rain with tonight’s storm and Tuesday’s storm. Expect standing water on the roadways for the commutes through Tuesday. The winds will be gusting up to 35mph with both of these storms. The mountains will get tons of snow. Expect Pass delays with more than 2 feet of new snow. The rivers will run high and fast by Tuesday morning. Starting Wednesday we get some colder and drier air. The air mass is so cold that we could get some lowland snow for the Hood Canal and the South Sound Thursday morning. The roads will be slick too as we drop below freezing for the Thursday and Friday morning commutes.. Walter. 1/6/13
