Farrell Gordon: WMW viewer tip helps nab escaped inmate at house party

gordonFUGITIVE CAPTURED Jan. 5th, 2013 -- The King County Sheriff's Office says it was a WMW viewer tip called into Crime Stoppers that led deputies to Farrell Gordon at a house party in Normandy Park. Sgt. Cindi West says the party was pretty well-sized, and when deputies hit the scene -- Gordon tried to 'boogey' off the balcony -- but thought twice, and surrendered. FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY Jan 1, 2013 -- A warrant has been issued for Farrell Gordon, an 18-year-old previously convicted of stealing tequila and punching a store clerk in the face. Gordon was caught and put on work release Nov. 5. On Dec. 17, he failed to return to work release after leaving on his pass. Police issued a $25, 000 warrant for his arrest. "A lot of times you get a year or more for committing a robbery," says King County Sgt. Cindi West. "This guy got work release, which means all he had to do was show up at a certain time, check in, serve his time, they let him out during the daytime so he can go to work. So, this is a guy who's taken advantage of the system and now he's probably not going to get a work release again. he's probably going to spend some time in the jail." Gordon was convicted earlier in the year for stealing three tequila bottles from a Fred Meyer store in Shoreline in order to resell the liquor for pills. Gordon punched the store clerk in the face and ran off during the theft, officials said. He was later found hiding in his girlfriend's attic and was arrested for Robbery 2. Police said Gordon may be hiding out near Shoreline.
