Large marijuana grow-op found in burning Seattle home

SEATTLE -- Detectives recovered 200 marijuana plants from a burning home in south Seattle Wednesday morning, Seattle police said.

Firefighters responded to a house fire around 7:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of Seward Park Avenue South, officials said. No one was inside the home, and it looked abandoned.

Officers found about 200 mature marijuana plants during a search after the fire was put out. Narcotics detectives responded to the scene.

Fire department officials noted suspicious looking wiring at the home that may have caused the blaze. Police detectives and fire officials were investigating the home Wednesday .
