'Food for All' campaign a huge success

Today was the grand finale for our "Food for All Holiday Food Drive."

Even in this morning's dense fog you could see that something great was happening: Bright yellow bags full of donated food were filling dozens of Les Schwab trucks.

With the help of the Seattle Police Department, the trucks take off for a short ride to Food Lifeline. And inside the warehouse, there's a party going on. Setting up an assembly line with bag after bag of food, all aimed to help fight hunger in Western Washington.

This year, Food Lifeline will distribute almost 37 million pounds of food. Each box can hold about a 1,000 pounds of food -- and so many donations came in, they had to bring out extra boxes.
