'Sweet Tooth Suspects': Burglars steal candles and cookies from crafts fair

SWEET TOOTHWANTED IN EVERETT -- Call them a couple of ‘Sweet Tooth Suspects’ -- a pair of burglars caught on camera busting into the Everett Elks club last month, just so they could steal candles and cookies from a crafts show "We had two subjects that came into the Elks club,” says Everett police Det. Danny Rabelos. “The Elks club was having a Christmas bazaar-type of fair. The gentlemen came in through the door that's behind me here. They forced entry. Once they were inside, they were able to make forced entry into the ballroom where the craft fair was. Once the suspects were inside, they took a set of very expensive cinnamon-type candles, a rollaway piece of luggage that belonged to somebody else, and some baked goods.” Hope those cookies were really worth it -- more than $700 dollars total that cops say they stole. The crooks broke in between 5:30-6am on Saturday, November 24th. The Elks club feels violated, and is worried about their safety more, but says the thieves have not crushed their holiday cheer. "We really made a point of not letting it dampen our spirit, even though our sense of security was definitely impaired by the break-in,” says Everett Elks trustee, Nancy Woke. “It was just hard to imagine why somebody would think a craft show would be a great place to burglarize.” The surveillance video is definitely blurry, but detectives feel someone who knows who these guys are will definitely be able to recognize them.

Nancy said it best: It's hard to imagine why anyone would bust into a social club to steal crafts and cookies?
