Strange smell diverts Alaska Airlines flight

SEA-TAC, Wash. -- A strange electrical smell diverted an Alaska Airlines flight out of Sea-Tac International airport Monday evening.

Alaska Airlines flight 606 from Seattle to Las Vegas was diverted to Sacramento when passengers on board noticed a strange electrical smell. The plane, carrying 152 passengers and six crew members, landed safely in Sacramento, Alaska Airlines officials said.

Engineers are looking at the plane now to determine the cause of the smell.
