Is Skateboarding a crime? And, what if you're kicked out of a public property?

Q: "Is skateboarding a crime? And, what if you're kicked out of public property?" -- Lyndbergh A: "In answer to your question, 'No dude', skateboarding is not a crime. But, you have to remember, what you consider public property may not necessarily be so. A lot of times these businesses, large business parking lots, we get calls where skateboarders are skating around, basically disrupting the normal traffic flow. That is not public property. That belongs to private businesses. So, what I would say is respect their property, and if they're asking you to not skateboard on their property -- go to a skate park." -- King County Sgt. Cindi West
