OLYMPIA — One person was killed and another was injured following a stabbing early Thursday morning in downtown Olympia.

Police responded to a call about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday of a stabbing at McCoy’s Tavern in downtown Olympia. When they arrived on the scene, police found two people who had been stabbed. One of the victims, 32-year-old Casey Heath of Olympia, died on scene. The second victim was taken to St. Peter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the 34-year old suspect fled the scene on foot, but was located several blocks away. Officers used a Taser to subdue the man, after he refused to put down a knife he was holding. The suspect is in police custody.

An autopsy of Heath’s body is scheduled for Wednesday.

Anyone present at McCoy’s when the stabbing occurred is encouraged to call Detective Chris Johnstone at (360) 709-2793.

Really if your going to find fault in them accidentally putting Thursday on one line and Tuesday on another check your own damn spelling. it is Tuesday not Turesaqy there is even a red squiggly line to show that you are spelling it wrong. So if your going to be a member of the grammar police check yourself or better yet shut up. There are far better things for you to focus your energy on then then a typo.Like there will be a empty place in the Heath household. That a Father and Mother have to put their son in the ground this holiday season. There are six brothers and sisters that will never be whole again. Or that fact that David M. Henkleman's parents have to live knowing their son took a life from a great family.
So go ahead and focus on something so little and irrelevant then a mistake most read over with out a thought. Good for you for pointing it out hope you feel like a big person now because obviously you need the self ego stroke. By the way I even put my real name on the post not hide in the shadow.
To the Heath family My heart and prays go out to you. I don't know you but my wife went to school with the kids.
