Weekend closures, lane restrictions impact SR 99, I-5 and I-90

Heading back to the rain

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Say goodbye to the nice chilly, dry weather and hello to the rainy, gusty weather. It’ll be dry through early Wednesday morning then the rain moves back in through the weekend. It’ll be quite gusty too. It will not rain the whole time but you can expect periods of heavy rain at times. The snow level runs high for a few days but then drops to below the passes and becomes quite snow up there Friday through Sunday. Periods of heavy snow can shut down the passes so plan on delays this weekend. The lowlands will have some urban flooding and the rivers will be running high and fast through the weekend. Wind gusts will get up to 35mph during these passing heavy squalls. Walter Kelley, 11/27/12
