Stabbing suspect, Sabino Gomez Barriga, caught after cops say he stabbed co-worker

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says Sabino Gomez Barriga has been detained and is currently enroute to the Lewis County Jail. Detectives are on scene at the Beef Shop processing the scene and conducting an investigation. They are awaiting interpreters to find out more about the incident from both the victim and suspect. ---ORIGINAL CASE 11/7/12--- Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are searching for Sabino Gomez Barriga, a 35 year old Chehalis man, who stabbed a co-worker in the neck at the Beef Shop on Airport Road in Centralia at approximately 1129 hours this morning. The victim is a male and is currently in critical condition at Providence Centralia Hospital. Little more is known about the victim at this time.  Deputies are awaiting an interpreter to arrive at the hospital to ascertain more information about the incident and victim. The suspect fled the scene on foot shortly after the stabbing.  Sabino is described a Hispanic male 5’9’’, 160 lbs., last seen wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans.  WSP is flying their airplane in the area to attempt to locate the suspect.  Thurston County K-9 is also enroute to assist.  Containment has been set up in the area. Information will be forthcoming as it becomes available. Barriga is considered armed and dangerous.  If anyone knows his whereabouts or sees him, please call 911. Do not attempt to contact or detain Barriga.
