SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink and Q13 FOX announced Friday that Nate Solly of Renton’s Liberty High School was selected as the week 10 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

Nate will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the Nov. 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Nate, a sophomore at Liberty, was selected Athlete of the Week based on his dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Nate is a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and track. He is an honor student and holds a 3.88 GPA.

Nate volunteered with his football team at Vision House in Renton, in addition to serving breakfast to the homeless mothers at Mary’s Place with his basketball team.

As the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, Nate will receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for his school’s Associated Student Bodies (ASB) fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2013 Seahawks jersey.

Over the course of the 2013 fall sports season, 10 student-athletes were selected as CenturyLink High School Athletes of the Week.

“CenturyLink is honored to partner with the Seattle Seahawks and Q13 FOX on this great program,” said Sue Anderson, CenturyLink’s vice president and general manager for Seattle. “We believe in developing the potential of area student athletes and supporting their efforts within the community, both on and off the field.”

SEATTLE — Jordan Landes of Sumner High School was chosen as the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, it was announced Friday.

Jordan has a 4.0 grade point average and is a three-sport varsity letter winner in cross country, swimming and track. In addition, he volunteers his time and effort at community dinners and helps teach middle school students leadership and character principles.  Here are the highlights:

  • 4.0 GPA
  • Cross Country
  • Enrolled in International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
  • Heavily involved in Sumner High School leadership program
  • Volunteers at a community dinner that occurs several weeks before Christmas and provides a free dinner to local families
  • Last year the event served over 500 individuals & families from our local community
  • Volunteers at a conference dedicated to teaching middle school students leadership and character principles
  • Participates in the school’s Food Bowl, which is a competition between the Sumner and Bonney Lake High Schools to gather the most food donations for our local community food bank
  • Part of Spart Crew- A  Sumner High School team that provides orientation activities for all incoming freshman to help improve the transition from Middle School to High School
  • Jordan placed first in the Boys Varsity race with a time of 17:54 ahead of the 2nd place finisher by 24 seconds
  • Jordan is a three sport varsity letter winner in Cross Country, Swimming and Track.

SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Inc. and Q13 FOX announced Friday that Myles Barrow of O’Dea High School is the Week 8 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

Myles will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the Nov. 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Myles, a junior at O’Dea, was selected Athlete of the Week based on his dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Myles holds a 4.0 GPA and is enrolled in all honors classes at O’Dea. He is a member of the National School of Scholars and received the Presidents Education Award for outstanding excellence. Myles takes part in fundraisers and the Light the Night walks, helping raise money and awareness for the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society. He helps tutor classmates and volunteers at the local elementary school. Myles is also a leader as a member of both the cross country and track & field teams.

As the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, Myles will also receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for his school’s Associated Student Bodies (ASB) fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2013 Seahawks jersey.

Drew Wallen, a senior at Auburn Riverside Senior High School, is this week’s CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

Wallen plays football and holds a 3.99 GPA. He is the high school’s president and is involved with the following school organizations: ARHS Student Government, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, National Honor Society, Key Club and ARHS’s “Be Nice Anti-Bullying Campaign”

He is also active in the Auburn community, including working as a volunteer youth basketball referee, a Christmas caroler for senior citizens, various other volunteer work at his church, the Auburn Humane Society and more.

Wallen has interest from Yale, University of Puget Sound, George Fox and Western Oregon colleges.

SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Inc. and Q13 FOX on Friday announced Anna Paradee of Federal Way’s Decatur High School as the Week 5 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

Anna will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the Oct. 13 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Anna, a senior at Decatur, was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Anna holds a 3.9 GPA as a three-sport athlete since her freshman year, lettering and qualifying for State in diving, gymnastics, and pole vault. As a junior last year, she placed 6th in State in dive, 4th at State in gymnastics on the vault, and 4th at the Track and Field State Championships in the pole vault. She takes multiple AP courses and was elected Community Relations Officer as part of the ASB at Decatur H.S. She is a member of the Ignite Student Mentor program, volunteers at the Brown’s Point United Methodist Church’s food bank, and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.

As the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, Anna will also be recognized at her school in front of her family, peers and teachers. RENTON — The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) and Q13 FOX today announced Kristofer Garrett of Wenatchee High School as the week four CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week. Kristofer will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the October 13 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Kristofer, a senior at Wenatchee, was selected Athlete of the Week based on his dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Kristofer has been a starter on the varsity football team since his sophomore year, playing nose guard (at 5’5″, 145 lbs) and defensive back. He was also elected captain for the varsity wrestling team, and as a junior last year placed 1st at Districts, 3rd at Regionals, and went to State in the 138 lb weight class. Last year, Kris placed first in Deca State – a marketing competition – and went on to the Deca International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA and won first place in the national competition. Kris has also been involved in multiple community activities, such as the Big Brother/Big Sister program, Ignite, Make Your Day projects and various other volunteer activities.

SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink and Q13 FOX on Friday named Mary Ann Santucci of Seattle Preparatory School as the week-two CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

Mary Ann will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Mary Ann, a senior at Seattle Preparatory School, was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Mary Ann holds a 3.96 GPA and has taken an array of AP and honors courses and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Seattle Prep President’s list.

In the community, Mary Ann regularly visits the memory care unit at Mirabella Seattle, she gives basketball and soccer clinics to grade-school girls in her neighborhood, is involved with Relay for Life and the Alzheimer’s walk, and is a Volunteer Chore Services (VCS) worker through CCS, helping an elderly client with weekly chores.

She has held multiple leadership positions, including freshman and sophomore class executive officer, junior class president, 2013-’14 ASB President, varsity basketball captain, and varsity soccer captain. Mary Ann has been a starter every year on both the varsity basketball and varsity soccer teams. Mary Ann is planning on attending Yale University and will play basketball.
