For 12s, the numbers didn’t lie

12th man tailgates before Super Bowl XLVIIINEW YORK — So, I kept talking about how the number 12 kept popping up for the Seahawks heading into Super Bowl 48 (4+8=12). Well, check this out:

The Seahawks scored a safety 12 seconds into the game.

Percy Harvin scores a Touchdown 12 seconds into the 2nd half.

After both scores, the clock read 14:48. In Super Bowl 48. Sixty - 48 equals 12

The Seahawks scored 43 points. 4×3=12.

Russell Wilson’s total passing yardage?

It WAS our year, after all. The Hawks wanted to win this for Seattle, and the 12th Man as much as we wanted it.

Persisently foggy and chilly for BLUE FRIDAY!

SEATTLE — Today will be like yesterday and the day before — morning fog, dense in places, will linger into the afternoon hours. The farther you are from Puget Sound and the higher your elevation, the more likely it is that you’ll see some sun today and warm up nicely.

The forecast high for Forks today is 64!  For Paradise it’s 65!  But for Seattle, it’s 44 with fog/cloud all day.

Tomorrow a weak system wafts through with perhaps a little rain on the coast.  It will mix up the atmosphere and clear out the stagnant air, which is why the Air Stagnation Advisory will end tomorrow morning.  Sunday looks dry for the BIG GAME . . . GO HAWKS!!!  Highs will be in the upper 40s.

GO HAWKS!!!  Monday (M.L. King Day) through the middle of next week, we continue with the dry weather — morning fog with partial afternoon sun and highs in the upper 40s to near 50.

SEATTLE — Organizers are hosting rallies all over Western Washington to celebrate the Seattle Seahawks and memorialize one of the best seasons in Seattle sports history.

Seahawks fans raised money to fly the 12th Man banner before the Seahawks vs. 49ers game on Sunday.

Renton, the home of the Seattle Seahawks, will host a rally on Friday, January 10, to cheer on the team as they prepare for their first home-field playoff game. The “12” flag is flying high above Renton City Hall and everyone is being asked to wear blue, their best Seahawks spirit costume, and their “12” buttons to show their support. Free hot dogs, free Seahawks cheer cards, prizes for the best Seahawks Spirit costume, and more will be available. At the rally the city will also unveil the original Seahawks/City of Renton monument that welcomes visitors to Renton, the “Home of the Seattle Seahawks,” and proudly celebrates our highly successful team. Sea Gals, Blitz and other Seahawks Special guests will be there too. The rally kicks off at 11:30 and goes until 1 pm and will be held at the Renton City Hall.

The party then continues Friday night at a number of sports bars across Western Washington. Here is a list of bars holding organized tailgating rallies for fans to cheer on the Hawks:
