Bio

I’ve traveled to the far corners of the country working in TV news, but as a Bellevue, Wash., native I’m thrilled to be back in the Pacific Northwest anchoring Q13 Fox News at 4 and 5 p.m.

Before I started working in Seattle in 2011, I worked as evening anchor for WHDH in Boston and WPLG in Miami, in addition to making stops in Baltimore, Boise and Quincy, Ill.

I graduated from Sammamish High School in Bellevue and the University of Washington and I’m a huge Husky fan and love the Seahawks. I’m also anxiously awaiting the day the Sonics return to Seattle. More than just a spectator, I also love to ski, hike and spend time with my wife and two children.

I’m known around the newsroom for…

Disarming newsroom deadline stress with humor.

What keeps me going…

I love my job. Getting to meet interesting news makers and cover fascinating events — it doesn’t get any better.

I give back to my community by…

Emceeing and attending charity events, supporting great causes like Junior Achievement, the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and local public school PTSAs.

My greatest TV moment…

Flying in an F-16 with the Air Force Thunderbirds. I got initiated into the 9g club, then promptly used my airsickness bag.

TV moment I’d like to forget…

Losing an on-air bet to Chief Meteorologist Walter Kelley, who graduated from the University of Oregon. I had to go to the UW campus, dressed in Duck gear and hold up a sign that read, “Oregon Rules.” It was painful.

If I had free time, I would…

Travel and ski with my family and good friends.
