Kaci Aitchison

Bio

I’m a native of the Northwest and I picked up my first microphone as a UW sophomore and never put it down. From my first job at KISS-FM, to meeting the big brothers I never knew I wanted at The Bob Rivers Show, I worked pretty much every radio shift imaginable. As for TV, I officially joined the Q13 FOX news team in August 2009.

When I’m not working or sleeping, you’ll find me in a hot yoga class, trying to pretend I’m a calm person. My husband and I love traveling, exploring new places here in the Northwest and our cat, Saffron.

I’m known around the newsroom for…

Terrible one-liners.

What keeps me going…

Joking around with Bill, M.J. and Adam during commercial breaks and singing or rapping very loudly to try and make the crew laugh (or roll their eyes).

I give back to my community by…

Bringing awareness to as many personal stories and local organizations that I can. I feel very strongly about encouraging people to support local theater and the arts and to get involved and meet their neighbors.

My greatest TV moment…

I was interviewing a woman celebrating her 100th birthday with several generations of her family. Listening to her describe the night WWI ended was amazing and hearing her talk about her family being her proudest accomplishment in her life was really special.

TV moment I’d like to forget…

I would like to forget the camel that swallowed half the microphone when I jokingly held it up to him during a zoo segment, mainly because that mic still stinks to this day.

If I had free time, I would…

Travel the world with my husband,  read every single book I’ve ever wanted to and sleep.
