Bio

Having grown up in Seattle, I am honored and privileged to cover the issues that affect our community. I love anchoring Q13 FOX News “This Morning” weekdays from 6-10am, and I hope it shows.

I’ve anchored and reported in the Seattle area since 1998 and have won two Emmys for my work. I grew up in Kirkland and attended Washington State University. After documenting my successful battle against Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2009, I was named Western Washington Man of the Year.

In my spare time, I’m usually out running, playing hockey, watching movies, playing with my two kids or reading. You might also run into me at the stadium, rooting for the Seahawks and Mariners (and hopefully soon my beloved SuperSonics).

I’m known around the newsroom for…

My sense of humor. I actually minored in sarcasm at Washington State

What keeps me going…

My family.

I give back to my community by…

Donating to cancer-related charities. As a cancer survivor, I am heavily involved in projects with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House and many others.

My greatest TV moment…

Reporting major news events from all over the world. I reported from Asia following the devastating tsunami of 2004 and from Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. I have also covered Olympic Games in Beijing, Vancouver and London. I’ve covered just about every major sporting event you can think of.

If I had free time, I would…

Travel the world.
