My name is Bhavisha, but most people call me “B” because my name is too difficult to pronounce.

I was born and raised in Northern California in a small town where the only fun thing to do was go to Target on a Friday night.

I always knew I wanted to work in TV news — I was the kid who sat on the playground reading a newspaper and asked my parents if I could stay up late, not to watch a scary movie but to watch the 10 p.m. news.

Aside from working brutal morning show hours, I also volunteer for a non-profit journalism organization where I help put on conferences for hundreds of journalism students. I also love sports, roller coasters, buffalo wings and high heels.
