    SEATTLE — Police arrested a 30 year old man Saturday morning who was wanted for the arson at Neighbours nightclub in Seattle on January 1st, said Detective Mark Jamieson. The man arrested is the man featured in surveillance video released by police in their effort to identify him.   • Off-duty Kirkland police officers help fire victims escape

    SEATTLE — Two off-duty police officers help a woman escape from the front porch of her burning home Saturday afternoon in Kirkland. The fire was reported to Kirkland Fire Department at 3:37 p.m. in the 13700 block of 115th Avenue N.E.. Both officers suffered minor injuries, but were able help the woman off her front porch, as fire crews arrived on the scene. The woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation.   • Police investigate sexual assault at Myrtle Edwards Park

    SEATTLE — A woman was sexually assaulted by a stranger along the Seattle waterfront just before 12 p.m. Sunday at Myrtle Edwards Park, said Detective Mark Jamieson. Police responded after several people reported to 911 that a man was chasing people around the park. Officers arrived and found a woman who told them she had been sexually assaulted.   • Teenager’s glasses deflect bullet in drive-by shooting

    SEATTLE – A Seattle teenager’s life may have been saved by the glasses that she was wearing.  Seattle police said that the 16-year old girl was lying on a couch Saturday night when gunfire erupted outside her home.  Multiple gunshots were fired in the apparent drive-by shooting.  One of the bullets struck the teenager in the face, police said, but the bullet that hit her was apparently deflected by the girl’s eyeglasses.   • Swedish Medical Center tells 27 patients to be tested for HIV, Hepatitis

    SEATTLE — Swedish Medical Center is telling 27 patients to be tested for HIV and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C after discovering equipment used in prostate procedures wasn’t sterilized properly. A clinical staff worker at the First Hill hospital made the discovery this week and the medical center notified patients Friday.     SEATTLE — Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in her home early Saturday afternoon. Shortly before 12:30 p.m. officers conducted a welfare check on a homeowner in the 5900 block of Highpoint Drive SW.
