Shooting investigation along Lake City Way

SEATTLE -- One man was seriously hurt in a shooting early Wednesday morning in a convenience store parking lot.

Officers responded to a 911 call just after 3:00 Wednesday morning about a man who had been shot.  When they arrived, officers found a 40-year-old victim with life-threatening injuries.

First responders rushed him to the hospital, while police shut down Lake City Way between NE 80th Street and NE 86th Street to investigate.  The road fully reopened just before 5:30 A.M.

So far police do not have a suspect in custody, and have not offered any information about the shooter.

Investigators think the suspect and victim got into an argument in a 7-11 parking lot before the shooting, and they are asking anyone with information to call (206) 233-5000.
