Westbound I-90 back open near Cle Elum after semi blocked freeway for hours



CLE ELUM, Wash. -- Westbound Interstate 90 near Cle Elum reopened Tuesday afternoon after crews removed a jackknifed semi from the freeway.

Photos from the scene around 7:00 a.m. showed a semi blocking both lanes of I-90.

Washington State Patrol trooper Brian Moore said large portions of the guardrail needed to be replaced.



The Washington State Department of Transportation was also at the scene clearing the road and repairing the damage.
