Two people shot, one fatally, and third person hit by car in Kent; police search for suspect

KENT, Wash. -- Two people were shot, one fatally, and a third person was struck by a car during a shooting in Kent East Hill Wednesday night, police said.

A search was underway for the gunman, who is believed to have fled the scene in a car.

The shooting occurred in the the area of 108th Avenue SE and SE 240th Street, police said.

The wounded victim and the person struck by a car were both taken to the hospital for treatment. The identity of the person killed was not released.

The circumstances of the shooting weren't clear. Police would only say that officers were initially responding to a "disturbance" in the area when the shooting occurred.

But no other details were immediately released.

The King County Sheriff's Office Air Support assisted in the search and tweeted the video below. In the tweet, the agency said officers are looking for a blue Dodge Charger.
