CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week: Jessica Chin



Jessica Chin, a senior at Holy Names Academy, is the week nine winner of the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week program.

She was selected based on his leadership through athletics, academics, and community action.

ATHLETICS: Jessica is on both the varsity swim team and the gymnast team for Holy Names Academy. This year, she will serve as the dive team captain. Last year, she placed third at Metro championships, helping her team to a third place finish.

ACADEMICS: She is dedicated to her academics and holds a 3.94 GPA while taking seven Honors and eight Advanced Placement classes. In 2017, she received a "Letter of Assurance" to attend the United States Naval Academy for the class of 2022.

COMMUNITY ACTION: Community is important to Jessica. She is the founder and president of Food 4 Fido & Friends, a 501 c 3 nonprofit pet food bank that has distributed 10,000 pounds of pet food to food banks and low-income service organizations. Additionally, she has volunteered at the Seattle Humane Society for over nine years as a foster parent, fostering both dogs and cats.




Every student athlete will be recognized at his/her school and at a Seahawks game. Each winner will also receive a $1,000 grant to their school's  from CenturyLink and the Seahawks -- plus a personalized 2017 Nike Seahawks jersey, a custom football, sideline passes to a home game and more!

Each week, CenturyLink executives and Seahawks personnel will select a nominated student who meets or exceeds the criteria.
