One dead after another collision involving motorcycle on I-5 in Seattle

SEATTLE – One man was killed after a collision on Interstate 5 in Seattle on Tuesday morning.

The Washington State Patrol said Richard A. McKelvey, 29, died at the scene after crashing his Harley Davidson.

The two right lanes of northbound I-5 were closed for the investigation, but re-opened around 11 a.m.. Troopers said the motorcyclist was speeding while exiting I-5 to I-90, hit a wall, and flew over the railing, landing on a vehicle below.

It was the second fatal crash involving a motorcycle on I-5 in Seattle in less than 24 hours. Monday night, 45-year-old  Ryan K. Abay-Abay of Bellevue was killed in a crash near the West Seattle Bridge.
