FUGITIVE CAPTURED February 3, 2017 —
Renton Police arrested Syres Stiles and booked into the King County Jail on Friday. DOC officers say police were able to locate him thanks to a tip from a Washington’s Most Wanted viewer. Police conducted a high-risk traffic stop and took Stiles into custody. He tried to deny that he was Syres Stiles until they showed him our WMW story. He is being held without bail.

Convicted felon Syres Stiles aka ‘Reese Lamichael Smith’  is wanted by the Department of Corrections for Escape after fleeing from officers without his pants and shoes.

“Stiles is on supervision for a California case for Robbery 2nd degree and Commercial Burglary, where he and three other accomplices stole about $60,000 worth of items from several retail stores over the course of a couple weeks that involved a crime spree all over California, Oregon, and Washington state,” says DOC Ofc. Emily Isaacs. “He was living here in Washington state, so his supervision was transferred up her. He’s since absconded from supervision. When officers tried to take him into custody this most recent time, he fought them and ended up running out of the Department of Corrections office with no pants or shoes on. This is an individual who’s on the run, has a criminal history and we need your help to get him in custody now.”

He’s also wanted by Seattle Police on a $100,000 warrant for Robbery 1st.

In that case, Stiles and another suspect are accused of using Facebook to lure  a victim to the Safeway parking lot in south Seattle under the false pretense that they were going to purchase a pair of Jordans from the victim. Detectives say Stiles did not know the victim. When the victim arrived at the location to purchase the shoes, the two suspects took them at gunpoint without giving the victim the agreed upon price. Seattle Police say the victim tried to grab onto their vehicle to stop them from leaving with his shoes, but Stiles punched him repeatedly in the head until he fell to the ground.

Stiles is 6’04” 268 pounds. If you know where he’s hiding, submit the information anonymously via the P3 Tips App or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
