Punter Jon Ryan suffers concussion after taking shot on fake punt

SEATTLE — Seahawks’ punter Jon Ryan got added to the injury list after suffering a concussion in the fourth quarter of Seattle’s win over the Rams Thursday night.

Ryan ran 26 yards before bobbling the ball and getting hit in the helmet falling to the turf. Coach Pete Carroll said Ryan was executing a fake punt.

Ryan was taken to the hospital after the game where his wife posted two photos on Twitter.

Two other players suffered concussions. Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter in a collision with Todd Gurley.

A few plays later, Jared Goff was taken from the game to be checked for a concussion after a sideline hit by Richard Sherman.
