'Dodgers and Durango Bandit:' Hat, car -- two clues that hopefully help lead to identity of Lacey bank robber

ddogersWANTED IN LACEY --
Detectives are trying to identify a bank robber we're calling the ‘Dodgers and Durango Bandit.’

Dodgers -- because of the baseball hat he wore with the Los Angeles team's logo on it.

Durango -- because that's possibly the type of SUV he got away in after hitting a bank inside a grocery store in Lacey, where detectives say he was one cool, criminal customer.

“He was very calm,” says Lacey Police Det. Miguel Stansberry. “He came in, provided a note, didn’t say anything. He smiled, didn’t show any teeth. He was absolutely calm and did not show any alarming behavior whatsoever. He was very bold. It’s one thing to rob a stand-alone bank, but to go into a supermarket with multiple customers, it’s very bold, especially with the parking lot as busy as it is, especially this time of year. It’s very bold. He didn’t show a weapon, but still, it’s a very dangerous-type of person. Anyone who would commit a crime within a nature, obviously is someone not in their right mind, so we definitely want the public to lookout for their well-being and their safety.”

Detectives think he's white, around 5’10” with a medium build and a scar between his nose and upper lip area.

If not a Dodge Durango, detectives think his getaway ride may be a Ford Explorer.
