Tri-Cities man stabbed during political argument over Trump

PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A Richland man was stabbed during an argument authorities say involved the politics of President-elect Donald Trump.

The Tri-City Herald reports that a 29-year-old Trump supporter and 40-year-old Alvaro Campos-Hernandez were arguing Wednesday night in a Pasco bar. Pasco police say Campos-Hernandez walked away until the younger man allegedly called him a racial slur.

Police say Campos-Hernandez placed the man in a headlock and stabbed him in the windpipe. The man was taken to a hospital, where he is recovering from the wound.

Police say Campos-Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and booked into the Franklin County Jail.
