Huskies move up one crucial spot to No. 4 in CFP rankings

SEATTLE – The Washington Huskies’ path to the playoffs cleared up considerably Tuesday afternoon.

The Huskies came in at No. 4 in the CFP rankings, up on crucial spot that would put them in the playoffs if the season ended today.

Washington will play No. 8 Colorado in the Pac-12 title game. The game will be televised on Q13 FOX, with kickoff at 6 p.m. and coverage beginning at 5.

CFP chairman reportedly said the committee had a difficult time choosing between Michigan and Washington for the fourth and final spot after Michigan lost to Ohio State last weekend.

The Wolverines don’t have another game on their schedule, having finished behind Ohio State in the Big Ten East division.

Alabama remained at No. 1, followed by Ohio State and Clemson. Michigan dropped to fifth, followed by Wisconsin, Penn State, Colorado, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
