SEATTLE – The Christine Michael experiment is over. Again.

Q13 News’ Aaron Levine confirmed that the Seattle Seahawks waived their former second-round draft pick on Tuesday, the latest chapter in the team’s on-again, off-again relationship with the running back.

Michael was the team’s second-round pick in 2013, but they traded him to Dallas two years later. The Cowboys waived him after five games, and he found his way to the Redskins – who released him after a month.

Last December, he re-signed with the Seahawks. They didn’t tender him a contract in March, but did sign him to a deal a week later.

Michael has received the bulk of the carries at running back this season, but with C.J. Prosise picking up 153 combined yards last Sunday and Thomas Rawls returning this week, the team apparently decided it didn’t need him.

Michael had 469 yards on 117 carries with six touchdowns this season.
