Marysville teen stabbed multiple times, two other teens in custody

MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- A Maryville teen is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after an argument turned violent. Two other teens are in custody. The incident happened Sunday outside the victim's home in the 11900 block of 51st Ave. NE., in Marysville.

“I got the call that my son had been stabbed,” said the victim's mother Patricia Evans. She was headed to Auburn to watch the Seahawks game.

According to Marysville police, Even’s 17-year-old son was in the front yard when he got into a confrontation with a 14-year-old and 15-year-old.

Police say the 15-year-old stabbed the 17-year-old multiple times in the back.

The teen was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with five stab wounds to the upper torso. His current condition is unknown as of the time, but his injuries are considered life-threatening.

Both the 14 and 15-year-old boys were taken into custody. They will be booked into the Juvenile Justice Center, in Everett for assault 1st degree.

“It’s concerning, very concerning and it’s the reason I wanted to move back down to the south end," said Evans. "I just ask for prayers."

Officers located and seized a knife at the scene. The investigation is on-going.
