Suspect surrenders in Kent PD case of 5-year-old girl bitten, choked and punched

KENT — 11.16.2016

Kent Police say Isaia Hernandez surrendered this afternoon. He is accused of assaulting a 5-year-old girl. King County Prosecutors have charged Hernandez with Assault 3rd Degree and a $50,000 warrant has been issued for his arrest.

“Hernandez was at a family’s residence. He was a guest in the home. Some type of altercation happened between him and a 5-year-old. The 5-year-old was choked, was bitten and punched. The family located him and her together and when confronted, he took off on foot before Kent patrol got there and we haven’t seen him since,” said Det. Melanie Robinson with Kent Police.

The 23-year-old suspect is well known to law enforcement. Hernandez has arrest warrants in Auburn and Kent.

Hernandez is WMW Capture #835.
