Body of missing ‘Piano Guys’ daughter Annie Schmidt likely found in Oregon, family says

OREGON — The family of a missing Portland woman said Friday they believe their daughter's remains have been found near the bottom of a cliff.

Annie Schmidt, the daughter of The Piano Guys member Jon Schmidt, disappeared after going hiking in Oregon in October. The woman had recently moved from Utah to Portland, Oregon.

Friday night, Jon Schmidt posted in the group Find Annie Schmidt to say that, while official confirmation has not yet been made, he believes his daughter has been found. He said dog teams located human remains below Munra Point, and a medical examiner hopes to have a positive identification next week.

“We can positively identify the clothing and personal items found at the site as belonging to Annie,” Schmidt stated in part.

Schmidt expressed gratitude for all of the support they have received since Annie went missing.

“We wanted each and every one of you who are special beyond words to us to hear it first.

There is no way to thank our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ for the support we have felt through you. You have searched with us, prayed with us, hoped with us, fasted with us, supported us and sacrificed for us. We thank you from the very bottom of our hearts!!!!

Much much love!”
