IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — A manhunt is underway after a woman was found dead and buried in the basement of her Idaho home.
Bonneville County Sheriff deputies were led to the home Thursday night after Christin Caldwell, 48, and Jeremy White, 39, were reported missing earlier this week. Police tell EastIdahoNews.com Caldwell was discovered buried in the basement of the home.
Idaho State Police distributed a statewide “attempt to locate” notification on White and the silver Jeep Grand Cherokee he is believed to be driving. A warrant for second degree murder has been issued for White’s arrest.
Caldwell’s family was notified of her death Friday morning. She and White had been in a relationship with him for 10 years, according to family members.
Caldwell was the mother to three children and had grandchildren.
“Her heart was for people,” Nancy Waters, Caldwell’s sister, told EastIdahoNews.com. “She was a person who loved to help people. She loved children and grand babies and she just loved people.”
Caldwell was also extremely family-oriented, Waters said. She called her mother five days a week at 5 p.m. when she got off work just to talk to her.
“Her children and her grandbabies were everything to her,” Nancy said. “She will be so missed.”
