Pete Carroll: 'We've got a lot of work to do in a lot of areas'

RENTON, Wash. – Pete Carroll said the Seattle Seahawks have “a lot of work to do” after a 25-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

“It just happened back to back to us in very similar fashion, and I can’t wait to get back on the practice field,” Carroll said Monday during a press conference at the VMAC.

The Seahawks are fighting a mounting injury problem with Russell Wilson playing hurt and Michael Bennett, Kam Chancellor, Thomas Rawls and Bradley Sowell all sidelines on Sunday.

Still, Carroll said there are several areas he can get to work fixing.

“We come out of this game with a lot of work to do," Caroll said. “We have to do a better job in penalty situations, and I gotta do a better job. I gotta do a better job in getting the message across.”

The Seahawks play Buffalo next, in a Monday night game that gives the Seahawks an extra day to prepare. Carroll said he’ll use the extra day to give the team another day of badly needed rest.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do in a lot of areas, and so we’re gonna go at it and get this thing turned around,” he said.
