Man found slain in Capital Forest identified as 18-year-old from L.A.

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Thurston County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday identified the man who was found dead on Oct. 20 in Capital Forest as Dakota Tyree Walker, 18, of Los Angeles.

He was found in the area of the 10800 block of Waddell Creek Road, about 10 miles southwest of Olympia near the entrance to Margaret McKenny Campground.

Walker died of multiple gunshot wounds. His body appeared to have been placed there by an unknown person or persons, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office said.
