Massive fire burns at California recycling plant

ONTARIO, Calif. — A massive fire broke out at a recycling plant in Ontario, California Friday afternoon.

KTLA reports that firefighters were called to a structure fire at Grove Avenue and Holt Boulevard about 4:23 p.m. That is near the Ontario Airport.

A Twitter account run by the city of Ontario said, “hay bales and pallets” are on fire.

Many people in the area posted photos of the smoke on social media.

Ontario is about 37 miles east of Los Angeles.
