Ronald McDonald taking a break until creepy-clown threats subside

Even Ronald McDonald has had enough of creepy clowns.

McDonald’s reportedly said Tuesday that it’s giving its mascot a rest, sidelining Ronald McDonald because of "the current climate around clown sightings in communities," the Associated Press reported. 

The strange rash of threats and pranks has been making its way across the U.S. for weeks, leading to arrests, injuries, school closures and more than a little fear.

McDonald’s reportedly said it will be "thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald's participation in community events, but didn’t say for how long.
