15-year-old boy shot, injured on Everett's West Casino Road

EVERETT, Wash. -- A 15-year-old boy was shot and injured Monday night in the 900 block of W. Casino Road, police said.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries, police officer Aaron Snell said.

No suspects were found in the area, Snell said.

He said that at about 7:50 p.m., police got multiple calls of shots fired in the 900 block of West Casino Road.  When officers arrived, they found the 15-year-old who had been shot. He said witnesses offered conflicting information, some said it began as a verbal altercation, but there was also a report it was a drive-by.

Police said West Casino Road would be closed to traffic for several hours during the police investigation.
