Olympia police looking for man who attacked woman near her senior-community home

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman near her home at a senior housing community Saturday afternoon, holding a knife to her throat and slamming her face into the trunk of his car before she was able to get free.

Olympia police said the 55-year-old woman was walking her dog in the 3700 block of 14th Ave. SE near the Colonial Estates when the man made a U-turn, jumped out of the car and put his hand over her mouth and a knife to her throat.



Police told Q13 News that the man slammed her face into his trunk, then tried to force her into the trunk, but she bit his hand, gouged him in the eye and ran away.

Police said the suspect is a black man who is about 40 with either very short hair or a shaved head. He’s about 6-foot with a slender build, and he was wearing jeans and a blue hoodie.

The man was driving a dark Toyota Camry or something similar, and it’s dark-colored with tinted windows.
