Teens and health care: What happens when parents are asked to leave the room?

SEATTLE -- When a parent takes their young child for a doctor's office visit, they'd expect to be in the room to answer medical questions and to offer emotional support.

But, when that child becomes a teenager, doctors often ask parents to step out of the room to speak privately. That can leave parents on the outside with a lot of questions.
